Working people across Britain face the biggest onslaught on jobs, pensions, public services and welfare at least since the Thatcher era.

While bankers and corporations are given tax handouts with year-on-year cuts in corporation tax, the rest of us have been handed a massive hike in VAT, and vicious cuts in jobs, pay, pensions and the vital public services that we all rely on.

In short, working people are being told that they must pay for an economic crisis caused by the greed of bankers – who have received the biggest corporate welfare payments in history.

We need to build the strongest possible resistance to defend jobs, services and pensions, involving unions, community and pensioners’ groups – we are all affected, and we all need to be involved.

Andover Trade Union Council has called a public meeting to help build that campaign – please use the attached leaflet and poster, pass on the details to friends, family and colleagues, and please come along.

If you wish to become involved in the work of Andover TUC, please contact Derek Kotz on 07939 595 092 or email
